Blog#3 Vacation rates

What are the best ways to save time and money planning and taking a vacation?

With all the different speedy options to travel in the 21st century, more and more people pack up the suitcases for a planned vacation. A fun and cheap enough vacation can be a memory a person never forgets. As most people know, trying to have the perfect vacation is nearly impossible with so many things that can go wrong these days. You could use a knock-off “unreal deal” site and book a picture of a 5-star hotel but end up in rundown motel. Or you could just be Mr. Do it himself and look for that once in a lifetime deal. But unless you are a travel agent, pilot, or somehow bonded to one of those you know what a hassle the whole process can be. Dealing with tickets, reservations, and the traveling process is enough for some to avoid taking a vacation. This post is to inform you on a couple helpful sites to find cheaper deals through trusted sites when planning your next vacation.

http://www.expedia.com

The first website I would recommend would be Expedia. Expedia offers discounted vacations, flight and hotel savings, cheap packages with group rates, and also late last-minute deals. Expedia is localized in 22 countries and was also started by Microsoft. I trust Expedia to plan one of my vacations as my parents recently used the site to plan a 7-day vacation to Mexico which they say was the best trip they’ve ever taken together.

Another website you could trust in planning and saving on an exciting or relaxing vacation is through Travelocity. Travelocity being the 2nd world largest online travel agency offers much of the same deals and extra programs as Expedia. After some research I found that Expedia has slightly cheaper deals but Travelocity had better group packages in the more frequently vacationed spots.

I hope you decide to take my advice and avoid the hassle. Let them do it for you at one of those two sites and go somewhere you’ve always wanted but actually come home with some money leftover.

  1. After reading this I will take your advice and totally use one of these sites to use for planning my next vacation. You gave a lot of good information and ideas for what to use. When looking at each site it is hard to pick which one to use cause they are all great. This was very helpful to find a cheaper, faster, and easier way to book a vacation in such little time.
