I have decided to do my blog on the New England Patriots.  They are a top football team in the NFL.  They may not have the best record right now at 3-3.  But they only have lost by 4 points in their 3 loses this season.  The patriots have the top rated offense in the league.  They have the most yards per game than any other team at 439.4 yards.  The offense has always been there strong suit through for the past years.  The problem with the Patriots is they have a weak defense.  Their defense has definitely improved compared to last year.  I think the defense will continue to improve because of the young players they got.  The Patriots defense is the 21^st in the league which is the main reason for their losses.  The record doesn’t show that they are an elite team but the offense will be able to carry them far.  The defense will continue to improve throughout the season.  I think that they will have enough skill to go far in the playoffs and even to the Super Bowl.    

“And certain numbers are heading the wrong way for the Patriots, such as points allowed per game, third-down stops, quarterback completion percentage, and sacks/pressures”( Shalise Manza Young).  That quote was from three weeks ago and the Patriots defense has improved from then.  Their rushing defense is ranked number 8 by holding the opponent to 82.2 yards per game.  While the passing defense is ranked at 29.  They average total 290 yards per game in the air against their opponents.  As I said before they are 21^st in defense in the NFL.  The pats are an overall good football team with room for improvement.  I believe that the Patriots defense will improve and make it far in the post season.
