Costello Revo Speed Review

Concussions are one of the biggest conversation topics when talking about football. Helmets are being made safer, and safer every year. However, most helmets cannot compare to that of the Riddell Revolution Speed. It is the safest helmet on the market. Virginia Tech researchers have been doing studies on helmets for about ten years now. The Revolution Speed was the first helmet that they gave a 5 star rating to, which is a perfect rating. The helmet is comfortable as well. I wore a Schutt helmet my Freshmen, and Sophomore year. However, I wore a Revo Speed my Junior, and Senior year. They did not compare. The Revo Speed was lighter, more comfortable, and safer. I cannot see any reason why someone would not buy the Speed, besides the price. Its starting price is a $265 which really is not that high of a price considering other helmets that go for over $400. The ratings can be seen here Revolution Speed Review.  The NFL is the highest level of football a person could possibly play at. All NFL players use the Revolution Speed, because of its excellence.  I had two concussions throughout my High School football career. They were both my Sophomore year. I barely remember the week after each one happened. My mom tells me I was sick to my stomach and constantly dizzy. She was the one who bought me the Revo Speed. I have not had another one since. In football there is like a transition period in the beginning of the season. Your head needs to get used to being hit again. Before I got the Revo Speed I had a wicked bad headache at the beggining of every football season for about a week. The transition period with the Revo Speed was much smoother. The headaches were practically gone, and for the first time I actually enjoyed playing football. 

All of my friends that bought the Revo Speed loved it as well. I have not heard or seen one bad review of this helmet. The price is in the middle of the pack, but the quality is at the top. All-in-all it is a safe buy.

Prescott Blog #2

Minnesota is not just farms, trees, and lakes but it seems all the East coasters have there minds made up about that one. I have lived in four states and two countries in the last four years and have come to the conclusion that Minnesota has it all. Starting with the fact everyone knows about, the lakes. There is a lake within ten miles of virtually where ever you are in the state and unlike most other states, you can actually swim in it. Clean and safe lakes where you jet ski, tube, wakeboard, ski, just relax on the boat or beach, or the best part which is all of the tasty healthy fish.

If your living in Minnesota it doesn't necessarily mean that you are an outdoors person. In fact, in the twin cities where I'm from most people are not. Minneapolis and Saint Paul are just like any other major city in offering something for everyone, just on slightly smaller scale to a New Yorker, Toronto, or Boston native where I have all been and some lived. The nightlife in the cities and the suburbs around is the same as anywhere with lots of unreal spots to have a good time. Not to mention the lines are always shorter, prices are cheaper, if your in the right spot girls outnumber guys everytime, and fighting and crimes are not cool there. Also comes the food, if you're in the cities you can find whatever you are craving with all sorts home-stlye takes, just like all major cities it like the united nations of food downtown. My favorite part is on those long car trips I know on most exits you can find a little privately owned diner and have probably been to 50 different ones that I couldn't even name that all have amazing food to offer always cheap and fast.

I could go into much greater detail on why I believe Minnesota is a great place to live but to keep it simple its just because its right in the middle of all aspects of life. Populated but not too populated, fun but not too crazy, and for the most part the saying is true and that is that the people are "Minnesota Nice".        My blog is a review about the new Bauer Total One NXG skates that have just been released in this past month in september 2012. This skate has 3 major elements that they really enforced in this skate and it is Range of motion, design, and the technology of the skate.
    Bauer has designed a skate that will mazimize your stride length. Engineers knew that so they designed a technology specifically to make every stride more explosive as possible. For every stride you take many different parts of the boot will bend in a range of motion that you have never seen before, and that skaters will be really impressed with.
    Now bauer has created a new boot roughly around last years model Supreme Total One skate but the new NXG skate surpasses last years model and any other skate I have ever seen on every way possible. When looking at this boot you actually see so much detail, and how much hard work that Bauer has put into this skate. This design process takes about 10 months to complete and you can tell that they took every bit of that time to create the best boot they can. I think they did just that with this design when you look at this boot you can tell that they went above and beyond and didnt leave anything behind. You will be very impressed, as will be many pro and amature athletes.
    Bauer has stated that new technology is better technology. The Supreme Total One NXG is the most advanced skate that they have ever created stated bauer. This skate is built with a technology that makes it lighter and more powerful at the same time. This technology has upgraded so many different key components to boot like the tendent pad on the back of the boot, the tongue, and a lining inside of the boot. The tendent pad in the back has been made for more range with less padding that creates more comfort for the skater. Now the tongue of the boot added more protection, wider, flexible, and more comfortable on the skater. They wanted to add more protection cause players were complaining on getting hit with slap shots and etc. With the tongue becoming more flexible and more comfort the skater will have a better feel for when he keeps the skating and the boot on their foot. Over all this boot has the best look and best overall rating on the market.
     Other reviews on this skate by NHL hockey players is that they love the look and the feel of the boot when they wear it. Watching many different videos about players talking about this skate a lot of them say the same thing and are so impressed with this new skate. Many players just when they try it for the first time they talk about how light and how much more power you get when you skate on it. A couple of players think that Bauer has taken the technology and look to the next level and to a level that it will hard for a company to compare to the Supreme Total One NXG.

The Best Romantic Movie "The Last Song"

One of the best movies I ever seen was “The Last Song”. I wasn’t a fan of romantic or sad movies until my ex girl had asked me to watch The Last Song with her. I don’t think I have ever cried watching a movie until The last Song with my ex-girlfriend. The Last Song is a 2010 American coming of age teen romantic drama film developed alongside Nicholas Sparks' novel by the same name. The film was directed by Julie Anne Robinson in her feature film directorial debut and co-written by Sparks and Jeff Van Wie. The Last Song stars Miley Cyrus, Liam Hemsworth, and Greg Kinnear and follows a troubled teenager as she reconnects with her estranged father and falls in love during a summer in a quiet Southern United States beach town. The film is distributed by Touchstone Pictures. At seventeen, Veronica "Ronnie" Miller (Miley Cyrus) remains as rebellious as she was the day her parents divorced and her father moved to North Carolina three years prior. Once a classical piano child prodigy under the tutelage of her father, Steve Miller (Greg Kinnear), Ronnie now ignores the instrument and has not spoken with her father since he left. While Juilliard School has been interested in her since she was young, Ronnie refuses to attend. Steve, the father has the chance to reconnect with his estranged daughter when her mother, Kim Miller (Kelly Preston) sends the rebellious teen and her younger brother, Jonah (Bobby Coleman), to spend the summer with him. Steve, a former Juilliard School professor and concert pianist, lives a quiet life in Wrightsville Beach, the small beach town in North Carolina where he grew up, working on a stained glass window for the local church to replace the one the church lost in a fire. After arrival, Ronnie becomes miserable, defiant, and defensive toward all those around her, including handsome, popular Will Blakelee (Liam Hemsworth) whose introduction involved crashing into her during a volleyball match. As Ronnie falls in love with Will, she also manages to form a better and stronger bond with her father. As their relationship deepens, Will invites her to his sister's wedding but later that day her father collapses. Ronnie immediately has Steve rushed to a hospital and learns that he has stomach cancer that has spread to his lungs. She decides to start spending more time with her father since he is unlikely to survive much longer. Around the same time, Ronnie and Will get into an argument after Will confesses that Scott, his best friend, had actually set fire to the church. She is outraged that he let everyone believe that her father was the immoral. With Will soon leaving for college, there is no time to patch things up. I think this movie is an excellent romantic movie to watch with a love one.

Nfasports.com is multi-purpose website mainly focused on sports and the achievements of local athletes in the Southeastern part of Connecticut. It was created because Norwich Free Academy also known as NFA was not promoting and or praising their athletes. A few popular athletes that have come out of NFA consist of Matt Shaughnessy who played football at the University of Wisconsin and now plays for the Oakland Raiders. Other stand outs include, Rj Evans who is a graduate and thousand point scorer at the College of Holy Cross; he will be completing his final year of Basketball eligibility as well as graduate school at the University of Connecticut. Kastine Evans is a junior at the University of Kentucky and is a team captain of the Women’s Basketball team. Nfasports.com makes keeping up with past athletes an easy task. The website also focuses on local events, awards, and TEAMWORK AAU travel team. The website gives a play by play on the success and failures of the AAU team and gets local kids involved. It shows the growth of the kids physically and mentally through their long journey to become student-athletes. Many kids in Norwich Connecticut have nowhere to play because the local community centers have closed down, and the nearest travel team is a 45 minute drive away. This makes TEAMWORK basketball club a key factor in getting kids off the streets and giving them hope. The Awards documented on the website are sponsored by the Cape Verdean Society they decided to create awards in honor of the successful Blacks and Hispanics who have contributed to the school but was never recognized. Each recipient of an award receives information on the pioneer and what he or she did to deserve such award. Local events posted on the site makes it unique for a predominantly sports page. A few different local events include NFA’s dance team performing at the College of Holy Cross, and a speaker by the name of Sara Panzau a two time All American volleyball player who after driving home drunk one night got into a devastating car crash. I believe this website is great in keeping you updated with new and fresh information and I personally enjoy myself on this webpage.

Over the summer, I bought a straightener at Ulta Beauty Supply. I bought this straightener on sale, for about one hundred and seven dollars. The straightener I bought is called the Ultra Chi and it is an Ulta exclusive hair product, meaning that Ulta beauty stores is an exclusive seller of this product. I bought this straightener in a very fashionable pink snakeskin. This hair straightener usually sells for about one hundred and sixty dollars, so I happened to get it for a bargain. This is the best flat iron that I have ever owned. The straightener makes my hair extremely straight, very soft, and unbelievably shiny. 

The Ultra Chi flat iron that I bought comes in a grayish black box cover with a slide out box. When you open the slide out box you see the sleek pink flat iron , with the free thermal flat iron mat directly below it. When you unload the flat iron, and plug it in, you realize that there is a tiny red LED light, whenever the straightener is powered on.  The appearance of the Ultra Chi flat iron is very sleek and very sexy. It is a reddish pink flat iron with a black and hot pink snake skin design around the middle of the flat iron, with gold ceramic plates. 

The Chi flat iron has one inch tourmaline ceramic plates. Flat irons with ceramic plates are the best types of flat irons for your hair. Although there are no flat irons that are GOOD for your hair, flat irons with ceramic plates are one of the better types of plates for straightening irons. The Ultra Chi also has flash quick heating and a swivel cord. As soon as you flip the switch on, the straightener heats up in under 15 seconds, it has the fastest heat op of any other straightener I have owned. 

When you straighten your hair with this "salon quality" flat iron your hair becomes instantly smooth and straight. It never gives off a burnt smell on your hair, and never gets stuck on pieces of your hair. It effectively and quickly straightens your hair, so it becomes stick straight in a matter of minutes. Hair straightened with this flat iron has an extreme shine and smoothness without any frizz.
