If I could travel anywhere in the world it would Jamaica. I would choose Jamaica because my grandmother is from there but neither my mom nor I have had the chance to go. My mother was adopted so when she found out her biological family was from Jamaica it was always a goal of hers and mines to visit their hometown. Jamaica has a very strong culture which makes it different from other places in the world. The weather is very nice all year round and there are many tourist places to visit for example, YS falls which is a beautiful 7 tiered waterfall, a very expensive wading pool fed by underground springs, and they have very exciting canopy rides which carry you down an alley high above the falls. Also it has river tube rides and spectacular views, what attracts tourists are lure that it is located in the jungle. Another attraction I would visit is Kool Runnings which is a water park that has many other aspects to it. Kool Runnings offers kayaking, go-cart racing, Jamboo rafting, and even laser tag in a secluded wooded area. These attractions would be very fun for me and for any family or couples that would enjoy an action filled vacation. Another factor I find compelling when I think of Jamaica as a vacation spot is the pride the natives that live there have. I first noticed this pride when watching the last Olympics it seemed as if the runners like Shelly-Ann Fraser-Price and Usain Bolt were competing for more than just an Olympic medal and after every win they all mentioned Jamaica and what it meant to come from there. Sure vacation time is usually spent in tropical climates and Jamaica definitely has that but when I decide to travel I want to spend time in a place with a rich history and a strong culture to go along with it. The flight to Jamaica would cost approximately $684 plus tax round trip not including baggage fees. Also the hotel will cost approximately $130 a night including an ocean view a rental car for a weekend would vary depending on which car you wanted to rent.
