Dream Destination_Blog#4

England

My dream destination is England.  Why England? I'm obsessed with their accents and love the style in the U.K.  I became obsessed with British accents after I traveled to Bermuda a couple of years ago.  Bermuda is a part of the U.K. so many people there had a British accent and I fell in love.  Their accents fascinate me. Another reason for why I would love to travel to England is on behalf of fashion.  I love fashion and I love that vintage look.  Vintage styles play a big role in the British fashion industry.  They mix old with new and create a unique look.  Burberry, which is one of my favorite designer brands, is a famous British brand.

I looked up flight details and if I were to fly British Airways a flight from Boston to London, England would cost about $842 round trip.  I don't think I would want to live there; I think would love to travel there for a holiday vacation though.  The only way I think I would consider living there is if I became involved in the fashion industry.  The only downfall about England is the weather.  I like warm weather and England is cold.

I also am interested in England because they have different customs in the U.K. that are very different from the U.S. They drive on the opposite side of the road than us and their driver seat is on the right side of the car instead of the left.  Also I am a fan of soccer and I find it interesting how they call soccer football in England, which actually makes a lot of sense because you use your foot to kick the ball.  There are lots of historical places and sites that I would love to visit such as the tower of London, castles, and others.  I think it is fascinating that you can walk on the same streets as some of the people that you've previously learned about in history class.  Overall England is somewhere that I dream of going to visit someday and would love to experience their culture.

  1. England is an interesting choice for a dream vacation; I say that because most people tend to choose tropical weather when they head out on vacation. I agree that the England is a very historical place and would have many places to visit if one ever decided to travel there. The accents that English men and woman have are one of a kind and can be spotted a mile away. Most people who like the accent can usually imitate it pretty well are you one of those people? In your blog you mentioned fashion a lot is that something you got into because of traveling to a place like Bermuda or was that a previous hobby that you had prior to the trip? The flight to England seemed to be a fair price as well as everything you could get out of the trip. After reading your blog I’d be more open to traveling to a none tropical place like England and I believe I’d have a great time

  2. England seems like a fun place to visit. If i ever went there I would most likely be trying new things. From the rumors about the food, I feel I would not like it very much there. Also I'm not a cold weather guy so if it really is cold like you say that is not a place for me. I love the warm weather and being able to jump into a pool or into the ocean and be able to get refreshed on a hot sunny day. One thing I would like about England would be the sites and all the places I can visit. All in all I would not like to live there but i think visiting for a few days would be pretty fun.
