Paige LaFlamme Blog #1

Hi everyone, I am Paige LaFlamme. I am from Hudson Massachusetts, I lived there my entire life. For those who do not know, it is a small town ten to fifteen minutes outside of Worcester Massachusetts. I live with my parents and my younger sister Brooke. She is fifteen years old. We surprisingly get along very well, minus the small disputes we have over clothes because we are the same size. I have not worked much but in the past I have worked at a summer gymnastics camp for two years, and I also worked at a Applebee’s the last two years of high school. I am a freshmen here at Nichols college like most of you, and my major is Business Management. I have been a cheerleader and gymnast almost my entire life. In cheerleading I like to base because I am scared of heights, and in gymnastics my favorite events were floor and beam. I was petrified of beam but my coach made me compete it anyways. Straddling it was no fun.
In this class I hope to gain and learn important aspects of digital applications that will help me with my future. I am sure I will find struggles along the way but it will only help me learn from my mistakes. I am not too great with computers but I hope to expand my knowledge on how to use them to their fullest potential. This class is a good necessity to have for all majors so i feel it is important to take in as much information as possible.
Here is a blog i found on the internet that i found interesting. I find this blog interesting because it is based on cheerleading. I enjoyed reading posts from it because it varies all different cheerleading, along with their teams, ages, and locations. CheerBlog. I also found this blog interesting because it’s based on one person rather than a few people adding on to one large blog. This blog is run by Shawn Johnson, an ex olympian. She was my favorite to watch during the Olympics. Shawn Jonson's Blog. Thanks for taking the time to look at my post, and learning little things about myself!

Chris Litchfield Digital Aps 123-02 mon.

My name is Chris Litchfield. I am from Burlington Massachusetts which is about 15 minutes from Boston. I have worked in many restaurants, as a construction worker, as a security guard, and most recently for the DPW in the cemetery division. I am a freshman here at Nichols College in the small town of Dudley. I plan to major in either accounting, or Business. I play lacrosse, in which I will be continuing through out my time here at Nichols. I have a very big family which consists of three brothers, four step brothers and 67 cousins. Family is a very big part of my life and I am very close to all of them. I enjoy singing but only when it's under the right circumstances. I have the cutest nephew, but it's hard because he lives in Yuma Arizona because my brother is a Marine and that's where he gets stationed.

I am hoping that this course will show me how to use programs and become successful with websites and how to utilize all the tools to my best advantage.

^USMC blog
I wanted to work with the Marines blog because not only am I a big fan of the military and am very thankful for the people risking there lives every day for us but also because it is 9/11 today and I never want people to forget the sacrifices made. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0o7Fz7lAPvo
I also am interested by this blog spot because I have thought about joining multiple times, however, I ended up choosing the college path for my final decision, so this stuff is very interesting to me. Also I feel it is good to know about what is going on in society and how the military's are changing and how incredible the new technologies and equipment is becoming so advanced. The Marine Corps Blog is a great resources to check out because it goes into great detail and it shows the sacrifices people make. Military men and women do not have to fight for others but they chose instead to pt everything on the line for people they don't even know just to keep them free. Marines especially get screamed at and thrown around just to keep this country a nation under God and free from all that try to state otherwise.
My name is Jennifer Leah Lemarier and my hometown is Oxford, Ma. I am currently a freshman hoping to either major in Criminal Justice or Accounting. One thing people don't know about me is that although I am shy, with my friends or people I get to know, I am loud and random. Some things I like to do for fun are draw, try to learn guitar, listen to music, dance, and watch tv. I just started dance last year and loved every single moment of it. I am hoping to join the dance club here at Nichols and to maybe take the jazz dance course next semester. Besides dance I also like to run, though I have never done it before, I might join track. When I am not dancing or running, I like to relax and watch movies or tv. My favorite movie is Happy Gilmore with Adam Sandler, which I've watched a million times. The best scene in that movie is when Adam Sandler gets beaten up by Bob Barker from The Price is Right.

For tv shows I like How I Met Your Mother, Doctor Who, The Big Bang Theory, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, and the show Psych. Psych is the funniest show ever. Its about this guy named Shawn Spencer who is really observant and helps the police solve crimes. Throughout the whole thing he pretends to be a psychic, and with his friend Gus, they open up a detective agency. Even though it is a crime show, it is really funny and random.
The one on the left is Shawn and the one on the right is his best friend Gus.

Out of this class, I hope to understand how to use things like excell or publisher more. One of my possible majors is accounting, and I hope to learn how to put in financial records.

A newsworthy blog that interests me is called BLDGBLOG.  I found it while trying to look up a blog for this class. It is an architecture blog, which interests me because I have always been fascinated by architecture. This blog is made by Geoff Manaugh who is the writer of DWELL magazine, which is an architecture magazine.

Hola my name is Brian Keith Sullivan Jr and I am from the small country folk town of Plainfield Connecticut. I'm 6'3 and a a quiet person at times (mostly never). Like most teenagers my age I "had" to get a job or else my living arrangements would be change, as said as my parents, I currently work at Better Val-U which if you are not familiar with is a grocery store that similar to stop and shop but A LOT DIRTIER. I could say I'm like most people at Nichols College but not everybody at Nichols is a freshman so I am like 1/4 of the school and I'm a freshman I plan of 4 years to graduate and have a degree in sportsmangement hopefully. To be honest I took this course becuase it wasa requirment but I always go into everything open minded, hopefully from this course I can perfect my experinces and skills in the work of microsoft and other areas.

One of the best Blogs I have ever viewed was one done up by NBA.COM. Its not a blog that you read but one that you watch, just click the link scroll down and watch the montage of the greatest moments in sports. For now I'll leave you with some of my favorite things and some pictures of me.

Alexa Smith

High School Lacrosse Team
Boston Shamrocks Hockey

Roommates

My names Alexa Smith I am from Salem, NH. I'm majoring in Marketing and I'm a freshmen at Nichols College . I play lacrosse and hockey and got recruited to play lacrosse at Nichols. My favorite color is pink, mostly everything I own is pink. I like to shop, go to the beach, be with friends, and have a good time. I am friendly and easy to get along with. I have the best roommates we get along great and hangout with each other all the time. We are best friends! For jobs I used to work at Edible Arrangements  it was hands down my favorite job. I only worked holidays though because those were their only busy times. I worked at a small breakfast and lunch diner and it was the worst experience. I hated it there and I dreaded going, not to mention my boss only gave me one day a week. After I found a new job I quit the crappy diner and I now work at Rite Aid. Its a much better job for me, I cant complain with them because they have been very flexible with my hours. In this class I hope to gain more knowledge with computers, better my skills and learn stuff that other students wont know. A blog that interest me was a cup cake blog since I have a secret love for baking and creating cupcakes for my family and friends.
